- The A2000 shown above has had a few changes made to it. I've added
a Catweasel controller which allows me to use PC floppy drives and IDE
disks in it. Attached to that controller are a 3.5" 1.44Mb floppy
and a 1.2Mb floppy. Currently it can read Amiga, DOS, and C-1541 floppies.
I've also upgraded it to 2.04 Kickstart, and 2.1 Workbench. It came with
a Commodore 2620 accelerator (68020/14Mhz) with 2Mb, another 2Mb Ram Board,
and a HC+8 SCSI controller, that I've added 4Mb RAM and a 80Mb SCSI drive
to. All that brings it up to total Ram of 512k Chip, and 8Mb Fast. I've
got a Magni Genlock for it that isn't currently installed.

- The A2000 was sold in more diffent configurations than any other Amiga,
the same basic computer was sold as a A1500, A2000, A2000HD, and A2500.
The A1500 was only sold in Europe, and had two floppies. The A2000 was
the basic single floppy system, in other words an A500
with slots, and expansion bays. The A2000HD added a Hard Drive, and the
A2500 an accelerator card.
-
- An excellent machine, and still very popular today. It can be upgraded
with such things as a 68060 accelerator card which will allow you to add
up to 128Mb Fast RAM, and Graphics Cards. These machines were the basis
of the original Video Toaster systems, and can use either a Toaster 2000
(built for the A2000) or a Toaster 4000 (built for the A4000).
